About Plasteel

Plasteel International Inc. (PII) is a California USA Corporation established in 1985 to promote and license on a world wide basis Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Listed Plasteel underground storage tank technologies. PII currently provides technical and marketing support to a net-work of independently owned UL Listed Plasteel tank manufacturers located throughout North America, Central America, South America, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Technology License Agreement (TLA) opportunities are available to qualified steel tank manufacturing companies and other business entities world wide. A Plasteel TLA provides a Licensee with training services that will exceed the requirements necessary to qualify as a UL Listed Plasteel tank manufacturer. The TLA also provides a Licensee with a complete quality assurance program in addition to ongoing manufacturing and marketing support for the duration of the TLA. A TLA is typically negotiated for a period of 10 years.

UL Listed Plasteel double wall tanks are recognized world wide as a cost effective underground storage tank with an environmentally safe track record. The UL Listing includes 360º secondary containment and corrosion protection. Plasteel tanks have been performance tested to UL Safety Standards 1746 and UL Safety Standards 58, specifically paragraph 18 which requires successful “dynamic testing” for external pressure equivalent to five feet of water over the top of the tank. This type of testing is performed under the watchful eyes of an experienced UL Engineer.

On a regional basis Plasteel tanks are very cost efficient to manufacture. All the necessary tooling and materials can usually be purchased locally; there is no requirement to import raw materials from the USA.
